YO, I'M LUKAS.
Thanks for checking me out.
I help business owners add a dash of themselves into their writing, so their emails don’t feel like a corporate memo and get opened by more people than just their moms.
By business owners, I mean coaches, agency owners, course creators, membership site owners, authors, experts, etc. Basically anyone who has an email list and the will to make it less boring and more impactful, fun, and profitable.
Thing is, these “About me” pages are usually stacked with humblebrags, big-time success stories, revenue screenshots, pictures of people shaking hands with celebs, and all the other BS. That’s not what you’ll find here. I’ll save my accomplishments for when I’m trying to sell you stuff to prove that I know what I’m talking about. This is not one of those moments.
This is simply a page where you can get to know a little about me and the journey that got me to where I am today. Hopefully, some of it resonates with you. Let’s dive in…
Yeah, that handsome rockstar in the picture is me. Born in 2000, and raised in Kostrena, a tiny town next to Rijeka, Croatia.
As a kid, I was all about toy guns, fighting imaginary zombie hordes with my crew. A noble cause, right?
By the end of high school, I had zero clue what I wanted to do in life. I thought engineering was “the safe path,” so I gave it a shot. Spoiler: it wasn’t.
Then Covid hit, and I spent most of my college days sleeping through online classes and (totally not) cheating on tests.
Three years in, I started to feel immense fear. The thought of working as an engineer for the rest of my life sounded like a nightmare. So, I started looking for other options.
That's when I found copywriting. I came across a headline that said, “Make $10k/month in 90 days or your money back,” and I thought, “Gold mine, here I come!” (Ah, the cringe.)
Of course, I didn’t make any money at first, but I found myself kind of enjoying this writing thing and pretty soon, it sparked something in me. I stopped going out, started reading books, educated myself, listened to podcasts, and made better choices.
I read Rich Dad Poor Dad and thought to myself, “This guy’s kind of an as*hole, but he’s got a point.” Basically, this book opened my mind to bigger possibilities than I’d ever considered before.
I decided to take control of my life, and to prove I wasn’t messing around, I went all in (I tend to do that).
So, in 2022, I dropped out of college without savings, without a safety net, no backup plan, nothing. Just the incredible desire to build a better life for me and my girlfriend. She supported me fully from day one, no matter how wild it sounded. She’s my lover, my best friend, and my hero.
Fast forward to today, and I run a successful freelance copywriting business.
A side note: To me, success isn’t just about money. Sure, money’s nice, it buys peace of mind. But I measure success in valuable moments, quality relationships, freedom of time, and how much I’m improving every single day. When all of those are moving forward, I consider myself to be successful.
Anyway, I wrote emails in various niches, such as sales coaching, business coaching, biz opp, dog training, mixed martial arts, self-improvement, career coaching, you name it.
And in doing so, I’ve noticed that A LOT of emails out there are really boring. Like, staring-at-a-blank-wall-while-you’re-grounded boring. Except, your readers aren’t grounded, so they just leave.
Why? Because we’re all trying to be too professional. Thinking that business is suits, briefcases, and corporate meetings. Hate to break it to you, but it’s not 1990 anymore and it’s time to do business differently.
That’s why I’m using what I’ve learned to help more business owners send emails their readers actually care about.
I’ll show you how to infuse emails with YOUR personality and turn non-paying subscribers into raving fans who can’t wait to buy from you.
So, you in or what?
Here’s 10 more facts about me that people that I spend time with know:
- I live with my girlfriend Klara. We’re that “#relationshipgoals” power couple you roll your eyes at.
- I mostly wake up around 8 am. Don’t know if you care to know this, but there you go.
- I’m suuuper into BJJ and weightlifting. I train about nine times a week. Yeah, I know.
- I love eating healthy, but pizza is my weakness. Cheat meals are sacred.
- I’m terrible at anything involving a ball. Klara beats me at everything ball-related. It’s driving me crazy.
- I’m a huge fan of Big Bang Theory (the show and the actual theory, but mostly the show). I’ve probably watched it 32 times now.
- The only sports I pay attention to are MMA and Jiu-Jitsu, which means staying up all night because Europe gets no love. #bringbackUFCEurope
- Growing up, I trained a bunch of sports - swimming, handball, basketball, kickboxing, and now BJJ.
- As a teenager, I worked a handful of jobs, but mostly as a waiter and a pizza delivery guy.
- I could eat eggs every day for the rest of my life. My favorite way to eat them is over-easy with ketchup. Don’t judge it till you try it.
